10 London Instagrammers I’m Obsessed With

If you’ve ever poked around on Instagram, you’ve probably come across a few of these gorgeous London-based accounts. There are a whole load of Instagrammers posting snapshots from London, because, well, it’s picturesque as all get out and no one can resist its charm! I’m a sucker for a good list, and love discovering new accounts to follow, so I figured I’d share a few of my top favorites with you – I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

To set the mood, here is one of my absolute favorite quotes about London which, I think, sums it all up:

Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford. -Samuel Johnson

London is a place that seems to capture the heart of anyone who visits (or lives there). It’s such a beautiful city, and perfect for wandering through with a camera. Every corner seems more magical than the next! These ten Instagrammers consistently capture the essence of London in a charming way and make me want to hop on a plane across the pond.

Without further ado, let’s jump into the list!

1. @siobhaise

Siobhan Ferguson is a Londoner who created and curates the crazy popular Pretty City London and The Pretty Cities Instagram accounts (which are both positively lovely). Her eye for pretty little details is evident in everything she posts, and she definitely deserves the #1 spot on this list!

2. @prettycitylondon

The brainchild of Siobhan Ferguson (just mentioned above) is this beloved account, Pretty City London, which showcases the most beautiful photos from submissions tagged by Londoners and tourists alike (I’ve even been featured before – and yes, I was indeed giddy all day after I found out I’d been chosen!)

3. @francesmehardie

Frances is an iPhone-only Instagrammer based in London whose photos share a certain consistent style and vibe that I truly love. The muted tones she uses are absolutely beautiful.

4. @angrybaker

Mendy aka @angrybaker is a well-known London ‘grammer who is actually an American ex-pat. I think the fact that she wasn’t born in London lends a certain amount of freshness to her feed! She captures London in such an honest, unique way (and is also a cool mom with awesome hair, as a sidenote).

5. @lazytravelers

A bit of a cheat, because @lazytravelers aren’t 100% based in London (it is a shared account between two dear friends who run a blog together – one based in London, one based in Philadelphia). Ashley, the London contingent of The Lazy Travelers, posts so many British gems, I couldn’t help but include their account here!

Also, shameless plug, Ashley & Carolyn were the first up in my interview series, so if you’re interested in learning a little more about them and their story, check that post out!

6. @snowflakesfairy

Jessica Lamaitre is a popular, well-known London photographer (and for good reason). Her photos of the city make it look like a dreamy little wonderland – which, let’s face it, it kind of is!

7. @hernamewascharlie

Full disclosure: Charlie is another Instagram friend who I’ll be featuring here on the blog in the next couple of weeks! (Check back for a full interview soon!) Her account is a breath of fresh air, and always brightens up my feed.

8. @crazycatladyldn

Another London-based lady with impeccable taste for those British streets is Michelle Catherine. Her take on the city is wonderfully unique and broody at times.

9. @jessonthames

Jess Henderson is a travel photographer with a keen eye for capturing beautiful little moments others might miss. She posts about London and her travels elsewhere (most recently, Bali, which is kicking up my wanderlust in a major way!)

10. @georgianlondon

Skye O’Neill is a Londoner and blogger who describes her feed as “city life with a slice of history,” which is exactly what her photos convey. Lots of lovely old buildings as well as beautiful modern day London.

Keep an eye out for some London city guides coming soon over here!

If you’ve been to London before, I’d love to hear what your favorite spots were!
